Commercial Swimming Pool Service Requirements

My definition of a Commercial Swimming Pool is any pool other than a backyard pool. A pool where swimmers are unknown to each other.

The Essential Areas of Swimming Pool Service

• Physical skills
• Knowledge

Learning the Physical Skills such as how to

• change valves for a backwash
• empty the hair and lint pot
• add chemicals
• test the water
• clean the pool
• record keeping

and so on, doesn’t take too long.

Gaining the Knowledge to manage filtration and sanitation takes years. I'm still learning.

Overcoming the Difficulties of Training for Commercial Swimming Pool Servicing

Staff turnover is the biggest enemy of good pool servicing. It takes 3 months and several thousand dollars to train a person to a point where they can service a backyard pool let alone a commercial pool. It can take up to three years before a service tech. is fully trained.

To overcome this problem, you need to have

• Service Procedures that are followed
• accurate pool water testing equipment and methodology
• a web connected Swimming Pool Chemical Controller
• the pool monitored by someone who
  
  • fully understands pool chemistry (that's us)
  • knows pool equipment and their individual limitations (that's us)
  • knows the pool's hydraulics and its limitations (that's us)
  • can foresee problems developing before they cost money (that's us)
  • operates to ensure you save money and stay complient (that's us)
